There will be no school today due to the snow and freezing rain. Our Valentine’s Day party will still happen on Thursday. Have a nice day off!

Congratulations to the students of Room 9 who successfully reached their goal of earning 175 + coupons and stickers for positive behavior in their special area classes and lunch. I am proud of you and I look forward to June when we will win the award again! Keep up the great work!

Officially the second half of third grade has begun!

Friday is a half day of school and we will also have the Hall of Fame assembly.

Just a reminder that this upcoming Thursday evening will be the second parent conference night this year. I am busily working on compiling and organizing materials to share with you. The following day will be a half day of school for the children.It is amazing how fast time has gone by. I truly appreciate your continued support from home!

We had an unexpected snow day today and I want to write a quick post to wish all a great long weekend!

Time certainly has gone fast here in Room 9! I hope everyone has enjoyed the collection of links I assembled over at mrcirce.com. You can find many excellent activities that connect wonderfully with what we are learning here in school.

Today we will have a special visitor! An educator from Forsyth Nature Center will be visiting our classroom and sharing information about turtles with the students. Even though we are still working on our plant unit, this will be an excellent opportunity to explore concepts that we will be working on in our Animal Unit, which comes next.
